In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden group.
The mission centers on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an special katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
